How to Apply for a Student Visa in Turkey

In this blog, I’ll try to explain how I applied for a Turkey student visa and how I was accepted into a Turkish university for a master’ degree. I discussed how I went through all of these steps in this article; I belong from Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. I cannot ensure that this method and docs will be similar in your country or city.

Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) 12th Class Document

Marksheet Copy
Intermediate Certificate Copy

Bachelor’s Education Document 16th Class

Degree Copy
Transcript Copy

Please Attest From (HEC) Higher Education Commission and (MOFA) Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

💸Keep Your Bank Statement Set.

Sponsors: Father✅/ Mother✅/ Sister✅/ Brother✅

Job Letter One of Gerry’s or a consulate representative will call your sponsor’s office to verify your sponsor’s job and joining date, so be sure that any letter you submit will have all of your contact information updated.
Bank Statement If your sponsor has a 6 month bank statement with a balance of at least 8 lac PKR, that would be ideal.
Bank Maintenance Certificate You can get a maintenance certificate from your representative bank.

Sponsors: Your Self ☑️

Job Letter/ Freelancer Gerry or a consulate representative will call your sponsor’s office to confirm your sponsor’s employment and joining date, so make sure any letter you submit has all of your contact information updated. Alternatively, if you are a freelancer, you will be contacted to verify your funding sources.
Bank Statement 6 month bank statement with a balance of at least 8 lac PKR, would be ideal. I’ve provided my bank statement, which shows a total of 5 lac Pakistani rupees.
Bank Maintenance Certificate You can get a maintenance certificate from your representative bank.
Tax Returns File I’ve submitted all of my tax returns. If you will sponsor yourself.

🎓Find University (I Found Uskudar University)

On the internet, you can find a lot of good universities in Turkey; I found Uskudar University to be one of the easiest to apply to, and I also found my desired course master’s in computer engineering.

How to apply Uskudar university

1: Check the Website
2: Find your program
3: Fill out the form and upload all upload prerequisites documents
4: Get your conditional letter (once you submit your form so Uskudar international office email you a conditional letter within 9 working days (please always check your junk/ spam)
5: After getting a conditional letter, you must pay $500 in registration costs by money transfer app or Western Union. (I paid my registration fees and filled out all of my information using Western Union and it cost me a lot) Rest of the amount you will pay when you reach Turkey
6: You will receive an Acceptance letter via email from Uskudar in 10 to 15 working days after submitting your registration costs.

Now is the time to apply for a Turkey student visa through Gerry’s; if you don’t know about Gerry’s , please see my previous article.

So you’ll need to go to Gerry’s office to get a student visa paperwork checklist to see what documents you’ll need to submit. Although I’ll be instructing you on what documents you’ll need, visa policies are known to change frequently.

Visa Application Form Gerry’s will provide you to fill the form
Flight Reservation Copy Go to any travel agent ask for a reservation copy (Please make sure there is a 15-day gap between when you submit your form and i did not pay anything for the flight reservation its free of cost)
Hotel Booking Copy/ Residency Contract letter / Dorm Letter Please make sure there is a 15-day gap between when you submit your form and i did not pay anything for the hotel booking reservation it's free of cost. You can go to Booking.com

😊 *Get your Visa

According to Gerry’s instructions, visa approval for students applications should take 30 days, but it may take 15 or 10 working days. I receive my passport after 15 days for the first attempt rejection, 7 days for the second time refusal, and 23🤩 days for the third time approval.
